Default My aftermarket H/U sounds like CRAP! HELP!

Hey guys I put my Pioneer DEH-p9600mp in my 2003 Z06 the other night and it sounds like absolute crap! I'm using the peripheral SVEN2 and SVHGM4 (wiring harness). I tried using the adjustments on the SVEN2 box but i didn't even hear a difference. Sound comes out and it is clear but there isn't hardley any bass and I have to turn it up really really loud for it to sound half decent!

All I wanted was to be able to use my pioneer H/U since it is MP3 and I already have XM hooked up to it.

If anyone has any idea as to why it sounds like crap please chime in!

Here are the two pieces I'm using:

I believe another member said he had to turn the bass way up on his H/U because the bose amps take a high power signal to turn them on, you might check that...

ive never used the peripheral but a few things. Are you sure the factory subs are even turning on, also did you have to use any of the RCA connectors or no

I'm not sure if the factory subs are turning on...how can i check?

Also I didn't have to use the RCA's since i'm not running an aftermarket amp.

try turning those ***** up all the way temporarily and u should hear some bass from the front doors maiunly from the lower half of the speaker grill. Its poss the stock bose amps arent turning on. Did you hook up the remote wire from your radio

I turned the ***** and nothing happened.

Yes I hooked up the remote wire. It's the same blue wire I would use for an aftermarket amp right?

Well I have given up on the stock bose and ordered a set of diamond audio componets. Trying to decide if I will be fine powering them off the headunit or spend the money on an amp. I just want it to sound decent.

Well I figured out why it sounds so bad

The front speakers are not working

Does anyone know why this would be?

Instruction manuals--- can you tell us which method you have yours connected?
SVHGM4
http://peripheralelectronics.com/per...structions.pdf

SVEN2
http://peripheralelectronics.com/per...structions.pdf

Also, are you sure about the HU model number? I can't find any info on it. The SVHGM4 states that it needs a minimum 4v input...

With the SVHGM4 I'm just using the basic wiring.

With the SVEN2 I'm using Option 3 the first set of wiring

The head unit is here:
