Possibly if there is a negative trigger on the factory alarm. Does the car have a factory hood pin switch that triggers the alarm? If so that is a good place to tie the proximity sensor into.
The sensor only provides a negative output to trigger the alarm system. So you can tie it into another factory negative trigger. But make sure to use a relay to turn off the proximity sensor when the key is in the on position so it does not mess with anything else in the car.
Seems it is for a C5, C6 schematics might be different, according to the installation instructions I need to locate the BCM 3-wire aux pigtail (acc/+12v/ground) and the tonneau cover switch wire.
more aless does the C6 have a button you hit to release the toneau cover
My trunk has an electrical door latch mechanism which is opened via a button switch or remotefob -I am not sure where the trigger (ajar) is if present, my tonneau cover is nothing more than just a piece of fabric to cover the rear.
somewhere by the trunk latch there should be a trigger its basically the wire that turns the light on in the car when u open the trunk. Kind of a PIA but you need to use a voltmeter to figure out what wire this is, and it maybe be a grounding wire then you need to actually trigger it to see if it sets the alarm off

Are these the same on the C6?
The C6 doesn't have the aux power pigtail. The easiest and cleanest way to get power (IMHO) would be with a few add-a-circuit fuse taps like this one:
I got one at my local Advance Auto for a buck or so to get accessory power to my hidden radar unit. I tapped into a fuse under the hood, I think it had something to do with the O2 sensors, it's only been two months and already I can't remember. Whatever it was, my radar comes and goes with the ignition just like I want it to. You would probably be better off using the interior fuse box.
