Getting ready to install ED 6500s in my 01 along with sub/amps/HU etc.

Where are the best places to mount the crossovers?

Audio Dave made me an amp rack for my two nine.2 amps that goes in the storage area right behind the seats. Can crossovers go in there? Doors? Somewhere else?

kickpanels/up in the dash is easiest or behind the seats

if you put it 'in' the door make sure to seal them from moisture and mount them so they wont rattle. the x-overs also go in the amp rack if you wish.

Amp rack sounds like a good place .. just need to route the speaker cable over there .. and you would have to route cable from there to the crossovers anyway ... take your time and make single strand connections (not butt connected or soldered) just to save yourself some time and possible issues later. You will only be running an additional lead per side if you put them up with the amps ...

In protecting the crossovers from moisture, if mounting in the door, you can seal them in a plastic bag as the bag will protect from the water and the crossovers do not put off heat...

i opted for the amp rack idea myself. have a set of Alpine SPX 177r crossovers i'm mounting between the 2 amps
