Simple HU Install
Hello everyone. I just got a 2003 Z06. Im coming from a 2000 Camaro and would like to install my Kenwood HU in the new car. Crutchfield says the Dash kit and wiring harness from the Camaro will fit on the vette. I was doing some searching and someone reccomended a harness from soundgate? because of the vette's bose system. Also, I read a few posts about having to tap another wire for the 12v ignition source.
What do I need to do a simple Head Unit install? No speakers or amps or anything.. just the HU. Where will I need to tap into for the 12v ignition power?

Hmm ok.. So with the normal harness, I should get the mid's/hi's still?
I have a JL 10w3v2 sub sitting around. Im wondering if I should just put that 100 bucks towards a JL 300/2 amp and put that in the car for my bass

thats what i would do haha, the normal harness will get you everything except the stock 8" subs in the door... you dont necesarily need to buy a jl amp either for your sub
