I've been reading this website for months, and finally my first post
I'm in the process of installing an amp (no changing HU or speakers). I've built a box from the spec -- that was fun, needed something to do while on vacation from work.
I've read the FAQ and looked through numerous posts, however I can't find simple answers to the following questions:
1. Where do I tap in for the "remote"? Does anyone have a picture of where and what wire I can tap into? Since it is just 1 amp, I rather not go through adding a relay, etc.
2. My amp accepts high level inputs (i.e. from the speakers), which speakers must I tap into to if I go this route? Where should I route the wires?
You have come this far .. why not at least replace the speakers with a inexpensive component set like the Elemental designs 6000 or 6500 sets or the infinity perfect 6.1's. CDT makes some solid quality inexpensive options. Could vastly improve your sound for several hundred dollars and probably as little as $150 if you make the baffles to mount them on yourself.
