repairing rubber speaker surrounds?
So, stupidly I poked a hole in my Utopia's surround.
I remember something about using clear adhesive silicone to repair such a tear. and spread some over the effected area.
But now that thats done, maybe I remember that you should NEVER put silicone on Butyl... now I can't remember.
Any input?
*edit, well, 12 hours later, no Speaker Fart of Impending Doom when they play, so I think they might be OK.

the many uses of dynamat extreme...
did the same thing when installing my speakers. I used a thin piece of dynamate extreme (just the black part) and molded it over the tear/hole. Sealed up perfect in a few weeks....
