Default Sub box material alternatives?

I came up with a very unique dual 8" sub box and amp rack design for my car and if production costs will allow, I plan to patent and produce my design as a drop in package for sale for verts, FRC's a Z06's.

Anyway, what materials could mass produced (say 100-1000 units) be made from? The boxes are curved/fluid shaped facing the interior and will be fairly square facing the trunk side. My plan is to paint the interior side to match the C5' paint and carpet the trunk side.

So, (mechanical/industrial engineers) any ideas?

What are other pre-made boxes made from (other than wood)?

I'm envisioning some type of thick, plastic construction with a waffle grid on the inside to provide the needed stiffness.

Any websites ya'll are aware of to pursue low volume production?

Many sub boxes are wooden-framed and then fiberglass-epoxy walled. Do a search on fiberglass in this section and you'll like see a lot of examples.

Sounds like Qlogic Qforms.

They use thick plastic.

Thanks for the suggestions. I located one company that can make fiberglass parts from my prototype. From small 2 dimensional parts to full size body panels. Now the issue is initial cost for them to make molds and a low volume production run. I really think my design/concept will be really well recieved and if I can get all three parts, two 8" boxes and an amp panel, for a good price, I'm sure they'll sell. Stay tuned . . .

I'm sure it will be April/May before I'll have enough done to solicit firm quote(s).

I'll need to check with them on making complete rear quarter panels from my flared set too.

if the box will look half as good as your flares, then the box should look great and will be a hit.
