As far as wire, i would go with knukonceptz.com wiring. i've used several of their kits and rca's. i like them a lot and the prices are good.
you can buy a good 2way component system for $150 and ditching the rears would save you some money for wiring and for an amp for the fronts.

i went with the cdt cl-61a's. im very happy with them.
depending on what speaker you go with will dictate what amp you choose.
if you are going unamped i'd look into some 6.5" coaxials maybe infinity, boston's, jl-audio, or polks. i dont have much experience with those so the best bet is to go to your local car stereo shop and have alisten to a few.
1) Is it possible to power the 12 sub and front speakers with the 500X 4way amp?
2) How much better do the component systems sound over the standards? Would I have any install problems- one vs. the other? Thanks Chad

Having dedicated drivers for the high, mid, and low range of frequencies will sound better, but only if you use the proper x-overs and amplification.
Looks like you have the amp and sub, so go ahead and invest on component speakers for the doors.
Don't worry, once you start, you'll never stop, no matter how good it sounds.

For the front components would I be better off just buy Audio Daves door speaker kit or can I work everything with the factory spots? Thanks
