If not digital, then you can still use an analog (RCA) pre-amp EQ with all of these controls (front/rear/sub). A good fit behind the ashtray lid is my kenwood kgc-4042a...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qz6tZ7F...42a&i=1134042A
I'm pretty sure ScottFX has some experience with digital setups

The Turtle Beach is Winbloze only - not OSX unfortunately.
Sure, as far as carputers are concerned, if I went with a mini-ITX, I could run whatever I wanted for sound output... but everyone and their dog has gone mini-ITX - I want a Mac.
i totally missed this thread. for anyone concerned about sound quality, don't. there is a girl over on the mp3car forums that is a 2X USACi Intermediate Consumer World Champion ('06 & '05) and Best of Show ('05) winner. the trick to easy and high quality sound is the alpine pxa-h701 (and hopefully the PXE-H650) you go digitally out from the pc into the alpine processor where you get 4v outputs, time alignment, 30 band 1/3oct. graph eq. or a par eq. and a butt load of other things. there are other options as well but they aren't as easy. you can get a dac and external x-over and use software eq's. or you could go with a pro audio card that supports asio drivers and have even greater flexibility.
