Alpine HU
Infinity speakers
2x 8" Bazooka 200 watt amplified tubes (glass roof has plenty of room when stored in the hatch still)

80 Gig Ipod
I still have a section of wires to tuck away as you can see in the pictures. Im really pleased with how it turned out.
Holy crap look at the fingerprints and dust... gotta work on that.
Looks nice; I have a Vrum Vrum faceplate also, but I painted mine to match the color of the bezel and console. How do you like the bazooka subs? Are they self powered? How did you attach them to the car? I have thought about putting one in my car.
BTW, did you put an amp to the front speakers?
I put the plywood under the carpet but above the insulation so that it would not resonate with the exhaust.
The Bazookas come with a pair of straps and a U shaped peice that you screw down and run the straps through. So the U shaped peices are screwed through the carpet and into the plywood. The straps feed through and wrap around the tubes. Its very secure.
With 2 of them at 200 watts each the thump is very hard. I like hard hitting base and if I crank it up its more than i can stand.
As for the front and rear Infinity's the Alpine HU is all I'm using to drive them.
The beauty behind my setup is that I didnt have to rip out any carpet and intrusion into the vette was minimal. Alot of bang for the buck/effort.

Nicer...don't think so.
2 - 15" subs need alot of room to breathe. You midas well say sayonara to the small trunk space you have. Plus imagine how much that box would weigh down the vette.
R. Dragon I think you did a great job w/ the decision of components, and install.
How do you like the Alpine for controlling you Ipod?
Did you mount the amp behind the passenger seat?

I bought the Alpine CDA-9857 at techronics.com the full speed Ipod control is wonderful. Learning to navigate the ipod on the HU is still a challenge but im getting used to it. I tried other brands and none of them had the ipod integration down like Alpine does. The model I purchased is the cheapest one that still has a 3 line display to ease navigation.
I didnt purchase an amp for the speakers, the Alpine HU is pushing 50 watts per chanel and sounds awesome. The Bazooka tubes are self amplified.
The quality and decibels that I got for my money makes me very happy.
I keep the hatch cover pulled over the tubes so that you cant see them from the outside and still have reasonable (for a c4) trunkspace.
Oh, and the other really cool benifit is that the tubes just unplug, unstrap and pop right out if I need the hatch space.
With the amount of space i still have back there with the glass roof stored in the hatch, I'm thinking about putting those 2 8" bazookas in my durango and buying a set of 10" bazookas to go in the vette. Its a tough decision because i really really like the clean punch of the 8" vs the deeper BOOM of the 10".
Would one 10" and one 8" make sense? Would I get boom and punch? I dunno, never tried it.
