Default Sirius FM Modulation Question....

I just bought the Sirius One kit for my C5, but the FM reception is poor. I tried changing to different radio stations but I'm getting a little fuzz. Is there any way to improve FM modulation, or is this just a characteristic of a cheap Sirius unit?

just about every FM modulator is poor. Its not neccesarily the brand, its just FM. Only way to get better quality is to hardwire

Hhmm, I guess it would be an FM Transmitter since its not hardwired to the antenna. I am using a factory radio, is there anything I can do here?

Either that or one of the AUX solutions via the changer cable that's available for the C5, whatever's cheaper. Sat radio sound quality is so mediocre (and I'm being kind) that you really can't hear a difference between wired modulator and an AUX input.

Does anybody have a link to the AUX input cable. It sounds like that would be my best bet.

Does the Aux input cable require a module like the ipod adapters?

You would need the PIE GM10-AUX along with the COR-HAR harness. For this to work you need to NOT have the CD changer. There is a link in the C5 FAQ that shows you how to build a switch and still use this if you do have the changer.

I've bought from this guy and gotten great service:

http://www.myradiostore.com/auxadapt.../gm10-aux.html

You may need to send him an e-mail about the COR-HAR that you need as well.

Here's the PIE application guide:

You will get rid of the static, it will not improve the sound quality though, you right on that one
