Default CarPC input devices

For all of you that have installed CarPCs and have integrated some sort of tactile input device, let's hear what you used. Of course there are the touchscreens and I have even seen some of those mouse roller *****.

Has anyone else done anything different? What about those "eraser ends" type input device that comes on IBM Thinkpads, has anyone used those or for that matter can they be purchased sep?

im assuming since you have heard of car pc's you've heard of mp3car.com. If not, check it out, and you might get some ideas on their forum.

i am using an ipac2 keyboard emulator mapped to certain hotkeys to control my front end.
I've designed a panel for custom backlit buttons that i can tie into the ipac device. here is the an in progress picture:



i'm thinking about integrating this into my current build as well:
