Default My Install is Finished.

Got everything installed at Tweeter here in San Diego. It's a very simple setup. They built a little wooden cover thing so hide the amp/music keg in the rear glass.

Head Unit is Kenwood MP-732.. I am using a regular GM harness and the HU is powering the stock mids/his. The Amp is a Kenwood KAC-7202. It's rated at 460w x 1 @ 4ohms. I also have a Kenwood Music Keg installed with a 10GB cartridge. The sub is a JL 10w3v2 and the box is the stealth box from subthump.

Very nice install... do you plan on doing speakers ever or not so much. So the musickeg can be controlled by current model kenwoods? I thought only the old school models?

It's just a velcro strip on the bottom edges of the cover.. you can kinda see it there in the picture. I was skeptical at first, but it STICKS to the carpet like glue. The Music Keg works great with the new Kenwood. Plugs right into the CD-Changer port.

I thinking about upgrading the speakers.. the stockers work, but I imagine it could sound a little better

My only question is why didn't you go with an iPod compatable head unit? Then you could have much more storage space, and mobility.

The most likley reason he didnt go with the kenwood is cause controls are really lacking on aftermarket radios and they tend to be slow.

Going to aftermarket speakers even without an amp will make it sound so much better. You can run a 6.5 coaxial in the frts or the stock radio and you will see a huge SQ improvement

I might have.. but I've had the Music Keg for like 4+ years now. Notice it's all discolored from the sun shining on it through the hatch of my old Camaro .. I had an old Kenwood Excelon HU too, but it recently broke, hence the new Kenwood HU.

Also, I've heard the Ipod integration isnt too great. Admittedly, I've never used it though. The Music Keg is extremely fast in accessing the music.. no delay at all
