Okay, I did do a search and couldn't quite find the answers I was looking for, so I am going to list the things I need the answers too and if you can help...AWESOME!
First, a little about my car. 2000 Coupe with the BOSE CD in dash and it "had" the rear mounted 12 disc changer (I removed it). This was an option for the car.
Okay...
1. What IPOD (model) is the one of choice?
2. What exactly do I need to get this to work?
3. What accessories should I look into purchasing?
I am just getting tired of making new CDs everytime I go on road trips and I really am not a HUGE audio guy, so this seems like a practical option for me.
Thanks alot for everyone that helps out.
Micah
BTW, AUDIO is really not my bag, so please help out.

never used one, but I've heard it mentioned here a lot. I would also get the "sticky pad" and put that next to the e-brake handle, that way the ipod is within reach.

Thanks that helps out, now I just have to find an ipod and accessories!
That unit is the way to go because it gives u the choice of controlling the ipod directly form the ipod which IMO is the best way to do it. What size depends on how much music you have. IMO go for the 30gig

I was checking out a 30G, but I am not sure what all I should get. Do I get the mpeg player? Do I just stick with the old school ipod?
I am going to check out apple's website and go from there.
i actually got the 8gig cause its flash based instead of harddrive, and it will be used on our boat alot so i was worried about it gettin knocked around alot otherwise i would have gone 30 hands down
I've got the 30 gig. Ipod video. It has 42 days worth of music. I think its about 2400 songs and is only at 17 gig so far with 192 bit music. I dumped my changer also. Now all my music(and all my friends too) fits in the palm of my hand. Now I just need an adapter for video output.
i would suggest a flash drive based ipod. ive seen the hard drive based ones go in just over a year. Or just buy the extended warranty on the bigger one and dont worry about it
