just curious, have you heard focals before? great speaker but you could possibly prefer a more laid back sound... or the focal sound may be perfect. It's always best to spend the time and take a listen to the speakers before you dive into it.

with both of these comments. I am a well-documented Focal fan so we know where my taste is, but Focal does tend to be a rather forward, detailed sound. The Polyglass speakers that Kale linked to are more laid back than the Kevlars I run in my C6 but still punchy compared to some other brands. I think the PG's are a great value, but even though it's hard to hear a true comparison it's worth going to a local brick & mortar and at least playing the same songs through different speakers with the same amp & head. Will give you a *relative* feel for the different voices of the brands.
Yep, what they said. I am a pretty well documented Focal fan as well, but with that being said YOU and your ears have to like the sound. It is very important that you decide what sort of power you are going to give your front speakers, and then from there be sure to listen to a very similar power level and HU brand that you plan to purchase while "auditioning" speakers. If you don't you may be very disappointed when you hook them up.
Many speakers sound vastly different off of 40w of power vs 100w of power. And for the most part Focals do not really come alive until you get at least 100w to them. For a more budget Focal option check out Zalytron.com and talk to Elliot.
ive got the focal K3P upgrafed version 3 ways I havent heard em yet but Im dying to get them in and listen to them purrrrrrr!!!! I have seen some 2 way focals in the klevlar line on ebay for around 300 or so that you may wanna check out
