Does anyone have any experience using a sirius portable boombox in their car while driving?
I have different vehicles, I though that may be a soulution for the need to purchance "car kits" for each vehicle. With the bonus being able to use it on the job. Which brings me to the question how do they perform in a commercial building?
I have Sirius in both my cars, and I have a boombox to use on my boat. Remember that satillght radio is line of sight, meaning that the antenna must be able to "see" the sat. in the sky to work. I would think the boombox in the car would be a bad idea, as you would keep losing signal. In a building of any kind, the antenna must be outside facing the sat in the sky to work.
Well I finally bought a sirius Starmate. Which came with a boombox.
I used the boom box over the weekend in my 65 coupe. It worked out really well! I put the boombox behind the seats and set the antenna
in the middle of "luggage" area under the window.
It worked great actually better the when I use the FM modulator in my truck.
