Default Installation Question?

Where is a good place on the C6 to get power to turn the amp on and off with the ignition?

Simple way to do it is to grab one of the switched sources in the fuse box of the passenger footwell. I used the wiper fuse.

If you are interested in RAP functioning (stereo doesn't shut off until you open the door) then you'll need a module like the Peripheral GMRAP. Don't use it to power the amp (just a paranoia note there) but you can use it to trigger and to power an aftermarket head.

That sounds alright. Just a side question, Where did you run your power cable in to the cabin and where would you route it, to get it to the back?

My amp (for now) is in the right rear cubbie. I brought the wire through the firewall near the fuse box (had to remove) in a new hole with a grommet and ran it down the right side of the car all the way to the back.

Check out my install thread, which is linked in my sig. Should show you alot of what I did.

I did exactly this but did not have to remove the fuse box. From Dans picture I hit almost the exact spot. The factory grommet was way to tight for me to want to try that route.
