K40, no wires, no one knows I have it, works great. Only detractor is it is pricey. I try not to speed but I drive a yellow vert and it is a cop magnet.

Most of the folks here will tell you either the Valentine or the Passport 8500 x50. I tried both I like the arrows on the V1 but couldn't tolerate all the false signals. I've had the 8500 x50 Blue for a few years and been very happy, I might try the new 9500i Model with GPS technology

Valentine 1. Follow the arrows!! Have it with the mirror mount. Wouldn't leave home without it.

Have had the Passport blue for a year and has saved my rear many times.

I seriously don't understand how people think that the arrows on the V1 help at all.

When my X50 goes off hard I hit the brakes no matter where he may be. Just a gimmick to get people to spend more money on something that isn't any better.

I've got a Valentine...I recently purchased an Escort 9500I...I'm using it in my daily driver...I've got a 50 mile roundtrip commute to work and back on an Interstate..Let me tell you when I start driving my Vette this spring...The Valentine's going into my daily driver and the 9500I's going into the Vette...the 9500I is soo much better... and remember I have both!

Passport 8500

Escort Solo S2 (if you want cordless)

and as a last resort - V1

I have the V1. I got on off this forum for $350 shipped. I like it.

I didn't know about the Passport 9500 with the GPS(false alert location blocking) until yesterday. I would love to have that feature.

I planned on purchasing a V1 when I return from Colorado, but after checking out the new features on the 9500i I may spring for it. It looks pretty interesting. I thought about buying both detectors and mounting them in the Z at the same time to see which is better. I haven't seen my Z in 2 months, but doesn't it have 2 power supplies? I'll return to my car in May and I will keep you posted on my analysis

United States Navy Radar Expert (their description, not mine). Nothing but V-1 for me. Pay your money, take your chances. If you can't understand the arrows, oh never mind, what can I say. $100,000 0f US Govt. education on radar and I only use V-1, but you probably know better. Use whatever you like. Just like the new "wax" favorite (or polish or mojo or mouse milk or ?) JMHO.

My preference is None! The state put all these freaking signs around just to set off radar detectors. PITA, I took mine out of my vehicles several years ago and have no regrets.
