System is finally done (I think...)
I knew after the first time I tried to drive on the expressway with the top down that a amp was in desperate need. Figured if I'm getting an amp, might as well add a sub too! Thanks to forum member NVTHIS for a very nice box with a JLAudio 10w1v2 in it. I had ordered the stealth box but decided before I got it that I would not use the cover due to sound issues...a grill would do me fine as I rarely have anything in my car. Turned out due to my carpet, the box sits perfectly flush with the rest of the floor...I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
For the amp, I chose a JLAudio e6450. Got a pretty good deal on one from a local shop, partially because they have now gone with the "a" line instead of the "e" line, but I believe the output specs between the two are basically the same.
Have the amp running both sets of speakers as well as the sub. I like keeping the rears going for the fill at lower volumes. I'm sure a better set of speakers up front (I really like MBQuart stuff...) would sound better, but for now with the crossovers keeping the low stuff away from the speakers, I think they will do just fine.
Here are a few pics. I don't know why the carpet for the sub looks so different with a flash, when you look at it in person, it looks almost identical to the rest of the car.

How do you like the sound. do you have pics of the speakers/head unit?

H/U - $350
Speakers - $200 ($100 per pair)
Amp - $350
Sub/box - $250
I don't have any pics of the speakers in the doors. The shop I had do the install created a mdf plate that basically covers the stock hole in the door, so if I decide to put new speakers in, it will be a very easy change for me to do.
I haven't had the chance to listen to it much yet, but I can tell you that the sound quality is miles above stock, and I love the iPod controls through the H/U.
