How do you remove the C5 Bose head unit?
OK, I've searched the archives and the Internet for two hours and have not found one single specific hit on how to remove the C5 HU.
Do I need any special tools? What's this "Theft Lock"? Anything special in getting the factory console trim piece off ?

Check in the forum's C5 Tech section for the Ripper install directions. They show how to remove the center console and the radio trim piece. I see on your "Upcoming Mods" list the Ripper-probably easiest to do them at the same time. A few of Ken King's posts in this section recently gave a few details on the cage and mounting method the stock HU uses.
