Alpine has a 1.5 DIN head unit
I was at the Houston, Texas hooters carshow and saw 2 cars with this head unit: Alpine CDA 0857. They're hard to find but it's an excellent solution to people who dont' like the look of a 1 DIN head unit.

It's the Alpine CDA-D857.
Took me a few Google hits to figure it out. I think it is discontinued... but it might be worth hitting eBay to find one.

CDA-D853 and CDA-D855 are earlier models of the Alpine CDA-D857 1.5 din unit. Good ones go for some pretty decent $ on ebay. I've been looking for one myself but the prices usually get so high I'd rather get a 2 din nav unit & mod the bezel. Fun fun fun.
