i forgot i had a set of 4 inch pioneers laying around, im just wondering if it would be worth it to add them in.
the system im putting together right now is 2 4x6s (20rms) in the dash, and 2 6x9s (40rms) in the rear. these 4s are 20rms.
i was thinking of adding them them into the upper corner on this, so it would pointing to the back of your head.
i would try and put these up front some place but theres just no room in these old cars unless i start cutting it up, and i really dont feel like cutting up original pieces.
i'd leave them out, they'll probably cancel out some of the frequencies and make it a bitch to tune correctly. rule of htumb is you only want one speaker playing a certain range of frequencies (unless it's subs)
well considering that my tuneing skills consist of me just plugging all the speakers into the HU and amp (the 4x6s and 4s run off the head unit. built in amp does 22rms x4), and then setting the head units equalizer pre-set Rock setting, should i still leave htem out?

If you want to stay simple, I would leave them out as well. Cancellation issues, playing with phase etc would probably not be worth the time vs the improvement (if there was one) to the system that adding the speakers would present.
Come back and see us when you get bored of what the "stock style" sounds like
i think ill be quite happy with the set up im building for some time. i cant justify, or afford a really high end system. theres so many noises that this car creates that i cant appreciate a high quality system. ill just be glad to hear some music now.
