I work at an online company which I will not mention the name of but what we sell is hardwired ipod connecters with full compatibility like track control from stereo bla bla bla Recently we got a piece for Corvettes and we have been selling a ton of them. Most of these Corvettes are pre run for a cd changer but some are not. The ones that are have easy install. The ones that have XM instead need an extra wire but are easy as well. But But but... the Vetts that are not pre run for a cd changer and do not have XM I do not know where to tell people to Look to hook it up. I have 14 customers wating now that neeed to know where to hook this up to. I am looking for the Auxillary imput that the cd changer cable would hook to...
You would have to have them purchase an adaptor of some sort, or just the CD changer wire itself from GM or the like. No real other means to get into most of the vette audio systems, especially the C5 (97-04)
The vehicle harness comes with our product, we are looking for where the port is to plug it into is... back of the radio? i heard something about a footwell? I need to port to hook the harness to not the wire itself.
Some plug into the head unit. Others hook up in the pasenger foot well near the fuse box. This is where the factory cd changer wire hooks up. It is called a Co-HAR cable. Do a search, someone has posted pics of where it hooks up and what it looks like. David
David it is, I am super duper deep undercover incognito though...
The COR-HAR is used to hook up to something XM related I know that because we carry them, I have one on my desk right now actualy, The footwell by the fusebox is something I have heard before but have not been able to verify. Do you know where the post with pictures might be or how to find it?
Rather pertinent information to be omitting... though IIRC the C6 rear-mounted changer is a dealer option not a factory option, so pretty any 2LT or 3LT('05 1SB/2SB) radio should have the cable run for it. Not sure about the 1LT(1SA).
All the help has been great. If anybody needs anything let me know. I can provide pictures of any type of wiring harness or information on different ipod adapters from the insiders view.

Thanks again

David, do you have an adaptor PHXGM-4? I've been hunting all around for these. Thanks, David
I tried to email you. Not sure if you got me email. I wanted to know if the place to connect with is under the carpert flap that folds back. I didn't remove the pannel on the left side. Is this where to find the Co-Har cable connection??
It's in the passanger foot well area. Remove the panel and you should see one connecter. The other one is taped to the harness near the fuse box. I did a search in the audio/electronics forum and someone has posted pics of where it is. David

Sorry It took me so long. I belive I have already taken that order from you because we were laughing at how funny it was that you found the website that I work with. If you still need a link or something I will send you one in a PM, I do not want to be mistaken as advertising...
Drop me a PM if you still need to know where to find the PHXGM-4 (It is a great part, I just checked the system, there have been 3 exchanges but other than that everybody has been thrilled with these things) Highly recomended
