I am getting ready to start building the box and got to thinking.. it doesnt say it is a stealth box. Has anyone built a box using these instructions and if so is it for a stealth box or a flush mount?
I figure if the directions are flush mount I can just modify the measurements some, but I am building the box at a different location than the car (friend has the woodworking tools) so it is hard to do quick test fits as the box is built.
If anyone can verify this as stealth or flush it would be very appreciated. Also, if you used these directions and have any pointers or tips that would be great too!

A stealth box allows you to place the factory center compartment cover back over the box, whereas the flush box sits flush with the flooring and will not allow the use of the factory cover.
I'm thinking that is a flush mount box. The height of stealth boxes should be around the 7 1/4" - 7 1/2" range.
That is kinda what I was thinking too, but I couldnt remember what I measured it at a while back. So no one knows for sure? I guess I will just have to measure it again tonight.
Those are the plans that I used when I made my box. While I never actually tried fitting my cover over it, I would say it is the stealth box. There was one area that looked like the cover would barely fit (towards the front of the car) but overall that box will fit below the cover.
I have mine sitting in my garage. I sold my Vette last fall and so the box just sits there. Hope this info helps.
When i did mine in my old C5 I didn't think there was enough room to put a box in the back so i just hacked away at the cover and mounted it on there...it worked somewhat, the speaker was too heavy and would cause it to bow so i got some 3/4" MDF and cut it to the same size as the cover, then took the mounting tabs and transferred them over to the MDF cover and carpeted the whole thing. I had to recess the mounting tabs as the orignal cover was thinner than the MDF, here are pics of it...again there was no box under this, just an empty well.
