Stereo head unit...
I'm trying to decide what route I want to go. If I keep the existing system and just change the head unit, is there a special harness available and can I keep the existing Bose speakers? Will everything work? Can a sub be added to the factory head unit? I've talked to numerous people about this and I get all different answers. Any of you audio experts out there, any info. about possible combos and advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Also, one other thing. I have a 2000 Coupe...when I turn the fader to the rear, the speakers are really faint. I figured that was normal...maybe to just equal out the sound? Yesterday while in my buddie's 03 Z06, his rears were just as loud as the front? Would my head unit be bad?? Just another problem I'm dealing with. Thanks.

My question would be, why in the world would you want to keep the OE Bose speakers? These are without a doubt the worst sounding, coffee filter for cones speakers that exist. You're fortunate if the output from your rears is low, maybe if you're lucky the same thing will happen to the front soundstage too.
Sorry man, but seriously if you're thinking of putting any money into your system swap out those things, anything will sound better.
