12 disk changer problems

12 disk changer problems
I have a 12 disk changer...it locked up, wouldn't do anything. I took it out of the car. A disk and the disk carrier were stuck. I took it apart and got both the disk and carrier out. I put the cover back on the changer and put it back in the car. Now the button on the dash will not let me chose the cd changer. Any help will be appreciated. I did put the CD's back in the changer correctly. They do cycle through, so I know there is still power to the changer. Is there some kind of reset button for the dash or could it be a fuse is blown somewhere?

Try unplugging and plugging it back in a few times. Mine did that all the time, I finally got fed up and got an AUX BOX.

I have exactly the same problem. I removed mine to put in Koolmat. remounted it, plugged it in and NOTHING. The AUX will not let me select the CD. I ran a code check and it rolled out three - Lost com with BCM, PCM and some other CM...I forget which. I took it to the local chevy dealer and they could not figure it out and told me I probably need a new radio.
