I am considering various options to improve the sound on my 2007 Bose with Nav. On the low end, am considering the Boston or Infinty up grade path. I'am also considering an amp back upgrade, just keeping the head unit---and if I go this route, would have it installed (old and lazy). I'm looking for good, solid sound with reasonable volume. Also, I would like to imend on cargo space to the min amount possible, I do not want huge rack mounts etc
For approx $1200-1500 installed, what advice would the forum have (keeping head unit)?
Thanks for the info. I see the refernces are all best buy, did you have them install the system?
Looks like you replaced the bose subs (see 6 speakers), and I see the alpine is a 4 channel amp. Did you run two of the speakers in paralell, or use the orginal amp for something?
Finally, where did the mount the amp, hidden? Thanks for the info

Best Buy installed the system and I left while he tore the car down.
He mounted the amp. in the furthest point forward in the trunk on the right side. Plenty of room, and plenty of air to stay cool.
Also, the installer kept the Bose Amp. to drive the rear 5 1/4 speakers, and to avoid any problems with the Nav.
