iPod Nano (2nd gen) + iPod2Car + interface to CD

Bought the iPod2Car from a person on the Forum.
Bought the interface cable from Peripheral (#PXGHM2).
I have two Verts - a '99 and an '04.
Set up the iPod2Car with the correct switch settings.
Installed (temporary basis thank god) for testing in the '99.
Doesn't work.
So, installed on in the '04 - same thing, doesn't work.
Called Peripheral to verify switch settings - they are correct.
Swapped interfaces/iPods around - no benefit, still none work.
Anyone else have this issue (I did read a couple of other posts where this seems to be a common problem)?
What, if anything, did you do to make yours work?
As a note - I ordered the Kensington Digital interface from Apple - dang I hate it when a Forum members sells a product (to a lot of us
) that is a piece of crap
Anyone need the above (sans the iPod) - PM me and for shipping I'll give them to you.
FIXED IT

PROBLEM IS THE #2 SWITCH FOR e&m NEEDS TO FE OFF- not ON

The cable originally to the charger is where the Peripheral (#PXGHM2) is plugfed in, with the other end to the iPos2Car, and then the iPod is pluged into that cable end.
I did check with iPod2Car and they confirmed the connections were correct (and the switch settings for the Vette were correct).
They did say I am not the first person to have this issue - sometimes it is the iPod itself (but considering I have two, one for each Vette I have trouble with that statement).
Like I said - for less money that the existing setups cost I am going with the FM intereface.
