I've heard nothing but good things about them. I can let you know from personal experience in a couple weeks. They got such good reviews here that I have one coming. Will take a week or two to gather up everything else and get it installed.
I run a PDX-4.150 in my C6 and it's a solid performer. It's not the last word in warmth, but it's very clean and delivers it's rated power without a hitch, even in the rather warm pocket I stuffed it into back in the trunk cubby. I may be switching out my setup soon and moving to something like a Zapco to pick up a little sound quality, but that is not a reflection of the PDX, more my own version of Scott's never-ending tweaking. The PDX will move into my daily driver Avalanche if/when I change.
My Dynaudios are a bit bright as it is. I think this is due to the measly 115watts of power from my ARC amp.
The Dynaudios don't play over 10khz anyway (verified this with my RTA) so I probably wont hear distortion over that.
I thought about tube, since they give a nice warm distortion, but they are just so friggin huge.
No, I wouldn't say the sound is harsh. I think the equivalent more traditional Class A/B amp (or certainly a tube) will produce a warmer sound, but when you combine it's form factor with it's performance, the PDX is a very nice piece. My Focals are pretty bright and I still need to do some tuning to adjust for that, but I do not believe it's the characteristic of the amp so much as it is the speakers and their placement.
If you have the space to go with an A/B amp then I'd probably go that way instead, but if space is at a premium I'd say you would not go wrong to install the PDX.
I just installed the PDX 4.150 in my c4. I'm currently using it to push my 2 - 8's, and a set of Focal components. I am happy w/ the ability of this amp to push the entire sys. But I probably am going to buy another to have one dedicated to the subs, and on dedicated to the components.
My initial intention was to install behind the pass seat, this amp was the front runner b/c of it's size, IMO it's still too big to mount there. I do not like the pass seat moved up at all. I think it should be all the way back as well, so I probably am going to have a shop fab a custom amp rack to get them outta the way.
All in all though I am please w/ my decision to go w/ the PDX, I'm sure you will be as well.
I just ordered 2 of these amps too. I got the 4.150 to drive my components and a 600 to drive the sub. I will post info when I get them hooked up. BTW< I got really good prices on ebay for the amps. The 4.150 was only $370.

if you're only running a front stage why not go with both lefts to one bridged set and both rights to the other......thats kinda my plan with my 300.4 JL into my 3 ways though both sets of the focal crossovers with teh 100kp's and 165kbe midbass extension deal.
