I ordered the MK6000 for about $200. I chose it because I want hands free and streaming mp3s. Upon arrival I tore into my 2007 Z06 Bose system, taking apart the console, dash etc. The connectors on the Parrot are ISO which evidently an outdated European connector (these on a newly released product...wtf?) so my option was to wire it in manually. after an hour od head scratching I called Parrot and was told this:

ISO is old European connectors so you can use them and we highly, highly recommend buying an aftermarket adapter from an American company. "You are kidding right?" He said, "no, Parrot is a French company and they just don't make plug and play devices like Americans are used to." Leave it to the French to half ***. So I ordered the $150 required adapter and proceeded to reassemble my car. When it arrived it was very complex with a box full of relays, leds, diodes and pots...all of which were required to make the French device work. There are several USA companies is business just to make adapters for these. Anyway, I got it all installed and it took about 3 hours to sync my phone and transfer contacts with voice recognition tags...but it works. Be advised...this could potentially take you all day to install and program. If I had the chance to do it over again I'd wait for a better product from an American company.

 

I forgot to mention that when I fired up the Parrot the thing didn't work and I called for help. They said "Oh, you need to send us the unit for one with an updated softare program" I said "This unit was just released 2 weeks ago...my software is old??!!" He told me how to use a bluetooth laptop and spend an hour downloading an update. The update failed twice. I gave up and tested the unit and it worked. Beats me...I wouldn't do this again though!
