you want the high pass filter on (lows filtered out) and set to about 80hz to get started, depending on the amp signal, amp power, speakers, head unit, and several other factors, you can proably adjust that down somewhat.
Front amp meaning the amp powering the front components? You want to filter out the lows .. so the highpass point (HP) should be in the 80hz range for the channels or amp that is powering the components. Your sub amp should mirror that and move down (the lowpass or LP)
He didn't mention a new amp... did you just swap the speakers out and you're driving the eD's off the Bose amp??
If you are you are NOT getting full range. You're getting the equalized-to-heck-and-back signal intended for the 3.5" Bose driver. You're wasting those speakers if you don't get the line level from the head unit and run a separate amp.
It is all replaced. Amps, components and sub. Thanks guys. It sounds better now. When it was turned up, I was getting distortion. Not any more. Thanks again. You guys rock!
