Power Wire for C5 Alpine HU Question
"New" 98 C5 with Apine DVD /CD,etc...HU. ..Installed by previous owner. The HU power wire is "wrapped" into Fuse #11(Accessory), I searched the Forum here and read that fuse #22 is recommended, or the yellow wire out of the passenger floorwell?. Request help, is fuse #11 a "bad place" for power connection?, should I move it to one of the above? ...Any help / good thoughts would be appreciated. FYI, previous owner also had a subwoofer installed in the deck area, and an Alpine V-12 amp. Thanks again for any help on this one. Best Wishes from Tampa. ...,Joe.

Shouldn't be a problem. Its just that #22 is a common one used here. Post some pics of what you've got. we like to see pics

If I recall correctly, you really on need fuse #22 if you have a 2004 C5. All other years have the pigtail with yellow, orange, and black wire.
The issue with fuse #22 is that you don't have switched power in "acc" key position, only "run" position. I don't know about #11.

Power Question
Gentlemen: Thanks for the info. If I understand correctly, using fuse 11, or 22 seems to be Ok, or I have the option of using the power yellow lead out of the "3 wire" bundle. Just wondering .../ what is the preferred power lead here from the experts on the CF? ... Thanks for any additional suggestions. , Joe.
