My first install in a Vette
sound system. I went with Pioneer HU DEH P690UB, MB Quart comp 6.5"
F & R a Rockford 12" P1 [ Thanks Jason NVTHIS for the stealth box and sub ] a Rockford P 400.4 and a P 325.2 bridge mono. it was a bitch to put the HU in as the C5 radio is shallow, the rest was cake compared to the HU well here are the install pics:

Lot's o' wires
and a little freaky tearing your shinny Vette apart

I was gonna put the x-overs in-between the tweet and mid but it put the tweeter to high so I sealed it up and mounted it behind the skin.

One other reason I went with the MB Quart speakers is that you can mount the tweeter in the driver so it worked well in the rear mounts
I mounted the x-overs with silicone right next to the speakers.

To much joy getting this in

I cut out the grill mesh took the screen out and was able to mod the MB's grill logo to fit in the bose spot.

Getting it all back in

I wired the face plate to the head light switch.

Amps in, wires all nice and hidden as an after thought I should have put the power and ground wires behind the seats.

The sub works fine under the cover for me
Gotta say thanks to my buddy Kurt for his help and to Jason NVTHIS
for the sub box and explaining how to post pics.

The front channel and sub are on the deck and the rear channel is a dangler kinda odd but it works.

Well the main problem [ mine is a 97 ] is the mount for the factory radio has a hump in the back that held it up, the bracket is riveted
in and I did not want to get the sawall or cuttin' torch out and hack
the bracket out so I took my biggest channel lock and bent it and the HU went in, still not what I wanted to do they [ GM ] should have
bolted it in, that would have made life much easier. I did what I could with my skill level. I have look at some of the sweet installs on the forum here and you guys have some mad skills with fabin parts it blows me away.
