Default Hard wiring ipod power cable
Instead of using the cigarette lighter power, can I hardware the power somewhere?

yeah theres numerous places, cig/acc plug, behind radio, at ignition harness, passenger kickpanel

Can u give me instructions on how to do that? I should just cut the cig adapter end off the ipod power cable and it would be more clear perhaps?

you don't have to cut the cig wires off. Just splice into them. I did for my ipod. Greg is still giving me **** about moving it to a switched power source Splice into an acc/switched power source so that your ipod isn't charging all the time and you wont chance draining your battery if you forget to unplug the ipod.
