Default Need Help - '94 Bose & Wiring

Stereo has stopped working. I have been advised that it probably is the CDM which is located in a floor compartment behind the passenger seat. I was shocked how "wet" its life must have been.

(I've had this car 6 months) Lots of rust and corrosion. (Found the problem, hidden under weather seal, previous owner had drilled "IN" to drain water. Well it worked! Drained right into the car.)

NOW my question...
(any opinion about this whole process is also desired)
Note the wires on the corroded plugs that either "broke" or were not attached.
Is this normal or have some of the wires literally corroded to the point of breakage? If this is the case as I suspect. Can anyone tell me which wires go where so I can clean it up and put it back together.

Here are some closer views.

Thanks to all for any help !!!!

Yikes. I've heard of water damage like this before but never seen pictures that bad.

I'd probably just replace the speaker harness with a used one. There was a guy with one in the for sale section a couple months ago. Don't think it sold.

The wires coming from the front are tied up in the main harness so I'd just replace the ends on those. I'd cut those wires back a foot or two to make sure you get rid of all the corrosion. And replace that CDM. Either a used one from this forum or a rebuilt one.

You can get the pins for the connectors at most auto parts stores. Of the ones around here I found the best selection and prices at Pep Boys.

I assume you don't have the service manual. You should get one. I'll post the pinouts later tonight.

Thanks for your help!
It has obviously been leaking a long time. Once I purchased the car, it took me months to identify the source of the leak. Quite frusterating.

Planning on replacing the CDM but wanted to make sure I could solve the wiring before starting out. Haven't been able to find any wiring diagram etc to solve the connector and wires. So anything would help.
Thanks again!!!!

These connector shells are hard to get hold of. You can try ordering samples from a Delphi distributor, but I had no luck with that. Most of them are only sold in quantities of 1000 or larger. The GM part numbers are in the FSM and then you can cross reference those to Delphi part numbers on the Delphi connectors website.

You might check NAPA just for the heck of it. Best bet is buying a used harness. I'm sure lots of other GM vehicles used the same plugs, so you could go scrounge at a junk yard.

There are Molex connectors which have the same pitch. Won't lock in, but would probably work well enough.
