Questions about modifying Bose
Just sold my Cobra and bought a Z06. I have a 6-channel JL Audio amp, an alpine head unit, and a jl 10w3v3. Can I change out the stock head unit, put in the sub, and keep the bose speakers? I would be disabling the stock bose amps and amplifying the bose speakers with my JL amp and two of the channels would be bridged to the sub. Would this work? Would the Bose speakers sound better with an aftermarket amp? Would they last? Thanks!

short answer, no. best bet is to install your new h/u with the generic gm wiring harness and put some new speakers in at least the front. the rear bose speakers can be run off the h/u. your best bet is to use your amp on a new set of front speakers.
