Never-ending Story - AVIC D3
I hope it's not never-ending story.
Finally I got the sound by replacing Metra with Peripheral GMCO. BUT as you expected, I got a huge engine whine when the car is moving. Moreover I can hear static noise when I turn on headlights while the car is turned off.
I read though entire threads regarding noise in this forum, the number one suspect is a ground loop noise. Some (like TheKomoman) of forum members suggested the ground line of the HU (AVIC D3) should be connected to the ground of the BOSE amp.
My 2006 C6 has 1SB option (i.e. BOSE amp) and I connected the ground line of the HU to the ground line from the GMCO harness.
Could anyone please tell me where I can find the ground node of BOSE amp in passenger floor?
Or should I find other good ground point to remove the noise??? This noise is driving me nuts
