Default grounding problems

Im trying to mount my amp in the rear of my c5, and i cannot find any place whatsoever to ground it. there seems to be nothing in the 1.5 ft range of the ground wire. is there anything im missing that could be used for ground in the rear of the hatch

its a 2000 coupe

Run a longer ground and put it at the factory location here:

I'm running 1800 watts worth of amps through this ground point with no issues.

There is a grounding spot on both sides of the car here.

I have used the standard seat belt bolt location without issues .. in fact I have one ground to the rear wall mounted amp that is about 7' long back to the other amp/processor grounding location (passenger seat) without noise issues .. which I have never done with that kind of length before. Some people go so far as to run it back to the battery post I just do not go there myself.

If you're not opposed to drilling holes in your car, the area behind the taillights leads directly to the frame where i'm sure you could drill a perfect ground. A single hole behind the padding of the rear wall will let you get the absolute shortest ground possible for a rear wall mounted amp.

I always use Kale's spot. BTW, it works on the C6 too.
