I just wanted to post that if you have AUX IN RCA jacks in the back of your aftermarket radio, you dont have to spend $150.00 for the ipod interface. I just installed my Sony CDX-M800 in my '02 Coupe and I had a $10 cable that I had bought at Best Buy to hook up the ipod to my home entertainment system. I plugged it into the back of my car stereo and the ipod comes in crystal clear. I just ran the wire where I can tuck it up by the passenger side glove box. Its awesome and I only spent $10. I dont know if you guys are trying to listen to your ipod through your stock AC Delco stereo, but if you have an aftermarket stereo, chances are you have the AUX inputs. So do yourself a favor and check into it before you shell out that kinda dough. Hope this helps someone!!!
plugs into the rca's and provides power for charging
Thats pretty sweet. Unfortunately I had a car charger that I bought off of ebay for a penny. Neat product though and cheap. I dont know why more people dont go with something like this.
using only the aux inputs, you don't have control of the ipod from the stereo though do you? like you can't change songs or playlists and such from the head unit right... only on the ipod itself?
thats the whole idea to control it from the ipod, because the controls on 99% of radios is absolutely horriable and if you have alot of music you are SOL

not true.. for alot of people, the whole idea is to be able to control it without touching the ipod.
With me for example, I don't want to have to scroll through my ipod songs on the screen of the ipod while I'm driving or have to reach it to control it. I bought the ipod2car so I could have some level (even minor) control of the ipod from the factory HU. This way, I put my ipod on it's mount on the passenger side and start it playing on a playlist and then I can scroll through the songs via the hu, while I'm driving, if I don't want to listen a song that comes up.
so yes, if you want to use the controls only on the ipod, it's a great solution. If you want some level of control on the HU, it's worthless. The original poster was saying that if you had aux inputs, you didn't need to spend $150 on the interface... and I was simply saying that is true only if you don't want any control from your HU.
