I have an aftermarket headunit that i would like to install but would like to continue to use the bose amp and sound quality... 2 questions..
1) does the 2000 vette bose system headunit have amped power coming out or is the amp mounted externally?
2) what is the skimatic of the wires on the radio... does anyone have a pdf for the c5?
lastly is this the correct module to purchase?

Each speaker has it's own amplifier mounted next to it. Every radio you buy will have an amp in it but I'm not sure if you will be able to use the Bose system with an aftermarket radio. I think it sends the music back to the radio and then to the speaker. I didn't use that kit but all of the connectors look about right on it. I would go ahead and buy that kit and see if you can get it to work with the bose amps and module. You should be able to tell when you turn the radio up really loud you'll get distortion in the speakers if its not working. With the kit it should be pretty easy to match up the right wires. But you'll have to hook the red wire up to fuse 22 under the glove box.
