What to do?
Okay, I have a 89 with the factory bose system. It is on it's last leg and I'm ready to put in a system.
I have alot of equipment from my other car (but it hasn't been used in about 2 yrs) so I trying to fig. out what to put in the vette. I was thinking of either getting (2) 8" subs for the back OR using the (2) Alpine 6X9's that I have already. I don't know the model #'s of the 6X9's but they screamed in the Camaro.
In the doors I was thinking of a 5 driver or a 6 1/2 component set. I already have the 5 (JBL) and it's brand new. Again don't know the model #.
I have a small 2 ch. Alpine Amp. and a Alpine V12( used this to push my 2 10" kicker's in my Camaro)
I also have a older Alpine CD player. Don't know the model #.
So I guess my question is what should I use(combo wise)? I'm not concerned with bass but would like to have a little thump. The car is so loud you can't hear the Bose at all now so anything would be better. Will the 6X9's drop right in the rear or do I need to get MDF and make a templete? I would like to keep this as hidden as possible. (don't know where I would put the amps If I use them. Or should I just run everything off the HU. I believe it's 40 X 4.
Any thoughts/ideas are welcome. I can get the model #'s if needed.
