My installer put an Alpine IVA-200 in my '07 Vette today in place of the base head unit. It has the Sirius tuner, Bluetooth and Ipod interface. I believe he used the factory amp to power the speakers, rather than the amp in the Alpine unit, but I could be wrong. He also installed a Peripheral unit to retain the factory chimes, etc.
It sounds incredible. Much more power and base, and he hasn't even had a chance to install the sub yet. Now here's the problem: the system makes a loud pop every time we change an FM channel, or change the source from one to the other, or when the bluetooth turns on or off. He' s not sure what's causing this. Any idea's out there??
My new Pioneer was popping when I turned the car off/on or the radio ff/on. After I dug into it I found that the installer had wired the rear speakers to use the stock amp instead of the HU amp or my external Alpine amp. Once I disconnected the factory amp the pop went away.

Thanks for the help...my installer will be disconnecting the factory amp tonight.
