Buy my Dyns for $800, and save money for everything else.

What is your listening preference? Soft? Loud? Bright?

You can get all that here for less than your budget. New speakers (components), nice amps, and all the wires needed. You'll just need to build your own box or there are many people here that can do that.

JBL 5x7/6x8 Components for doors: $95
JBL 5 1/4 Components for the rear: $85 (most will say not needed, but personally, I need just a little bit
JLAudio 10W0 (pair): $80
Phoenix Gold 300w Tantrum Amp :$75 (used personally on a 12w3 - sounds great!
Alpine MRV-F302 - 4/3/2 channel AMP: $75 (older, but sounds great)
Amp kits and RCA's: PM me if you want to work something out

For $1000 Canadian it's going to be real tough to build up a good system, unless you're doing everything yourself and buy a lot of stuff used.

I've got a fairly simple system in mine, and had a friend install it so there were no labor costs, and it still cost me close to $2000 Canadian (and I bought most of the stuff on sale at Future Shop too).

I've got a single 12" Infinity sub in the center storage bin, powered by a Fosgate P500-2 amp. Up front I've got Energy 6.5" components in the doors, powered by a Fosgate P200-2 amp. I replaced the head unit with a simple (bottom of the line) Alpine CD player.

It sounds amazing though!

You'll definitely need a subwoofer if you want the music to sound "complete".

I'm Curious why you reccomend the oval speakers for the doors

I can personally vouch for the older alpine amps. Picked up a MRP series 75x4 from Fleabay and it rocked.

not only cause I'm selling them, but I know for sure it will be a great improvement over the factory bose system. I'm selling them, but not trying to screw anybody. Scott, I think you posted a picture of a door with the 5x7 components, you think you can find that again? thanks...
