my AM/FM FF/RW button (aka, my everything button) snapped off my stereo, a Kenwood Excelon X679.
it appeared to be pressure sensative so i tried glueing it back on, but that made it completely inoperable. ive cleaned the glue off and it works again, but it is very difficult to use. ive also tried cutting a small piece of metal to use as a connecting post, but that also didnt work.
ive looked over a replacment face plate but the cost of the thing is almost 2x what i paid for the whole radio.

ill check out the local pawn shops and see what i can find. at the very least, ill pick up the remote for it.
The Remote will run you about $13. I looked up the parts, new *****, but they are out of stock, which means soon to be discontinued. Too bad, they were $1.5 a piece.
