Default Sound deadning clarfications/help

Need some clarifiacaiton on a few sound deadning things.

Thus far I have about 40sqft of of Dynamat Ext, plus 2 doors kits. Also ordered 36sqft of Damplifier Pro, 36sqft of over kill, and 18 of Over kill pro. I also have 4 Dynasorb pads.

I have started the trunk with the Dynamat. Would like to do the trunk, floors and doors in Dynamat/Damplifier, then figured I would use the over kill pro in the rear, and regular over kill on the floor and doors.

My question is on the doors. From what I have read I was going to to the outer skin in Dynamat/Damplifier, put a Dynasorb behind the speakers, then some on the inner door covered with the thinner over kill. One things is the factor has that moisture barrier, should I remove it then over the area in Dynamat/Damplifier using something like perforated aluminum to give it some strength or keep the moisture barrier there and go over it with the Dynamat/Damplifier.

just pull the barrier off and install the deadner, then re-install the barrier.

Deadening always takes longer than expected. especially on a car that you've never worked on before. But take your time and it will be worth it.

Assuming you're talking about a C5, here's what i did: (almost the same list of materials)

I used 3 layers of dampener on the doors: outermost panel, middle panel and parts of the door panel itself (the part with the handle and electronics.

Then I used "misty" spray glue to attach the overkill foam. for edges, you may want to consider foam double back tape.

I didn't bother withh the plastic moisture barrier....although in hindsight I think I would have left it there as a good bonding surface for the overkill. You'll be very happy with this combination.

Slow is right. I am just about done with the Dynamat in the trunk area, worked on it a little last nigth and tonight a for a few hours. Hopfully I get it and the doors knocked out by Friday. The whole install has been slow but it should be worth it in the end.

One other question. Ordered a Crazy Cowboy kit for the front part of the car. Would you lay it down first, then the Dynomat or put it on top of the dynamat.
