Lots of people have. Here's a thread by Flareside that I have a subscription to mostly because he did such a great job on adapting the install kit to match the dash, but there's alot of good info on install as well.

Well he has the list of the parts he installed, plus using the GMCO, etc. Those were what I considered to be D3-specific install info, otherwise it's like installing any other double-din head unit.

Thanks, those are almost the same parts I ordered. should go OK.
I am very happy with my AVIC-D3 in my C6, but I started with the base non-bose set up so all the amplifier and speaker wiring is different than the Bose set ups.
I would suggest using the orange LED behind the passenger's visor for the illumination signal and make sure you hook up the power antenna lead as we have an amplified antenna -- I assumed since we did not have a power retractable antenna that I didn't need to hook that up and had to pull everything apart one more time to fix it.
