I have a 2001 C5 convertible that I have pulled the OEM Bose head unit to install a Kenwood DNX 7100. Due to time and so forth I want to use my OEM speakers and amp for now so I purchased the SVEN2 and SVHGM4 Peripheral harnesses - no support whatsoever, no diagrams, etc - and have been really struggling on the hookup.
For now, I need to hook up the battery wire (orange) to my Kenwood; ground wire (black) and lastly; ignition wire (unknown?) so I can power the unit properly.
Any ideas on which color Corvette wire is the ignition wire I am supposed to tie into and do I use the wire on the OEM Bose harnesses from the factory or go all the way back to the ignition switch to tie in?
Also, these Peripheral harnesses do not appear to be harnesses at all. It appears I will still need to hack up my OEM harnesses in order to be able to use them to tie in the Kenwood. I am lost right now.

I can help with part of the problem
The ignition wire you seek can be found on the left side of the passenger side footwell. Pull the panel that covers the fuse box (the black carpeted panel under the floor mat). You should see yellow, black, and orange wires coming from the same plug and they are not being used for anything. Use the yellow one for the ignition.
