I have a set of Infinity 6010cs component speakers. I installed them in April, now the passenger side sounds distorted only on the songs vocals. The music is fine, but the persons voices sounds like it is playing under water.
So, I swapped channels to see if it was the amp, no. The drivers system sounds fine.
I have a replacement set coming in Monday.
My question is, Could it be the crossover in the system? Can I by pass the speaker's crossover and use 2 more channels on the amp to drive the tweeters? Then use the other 2 channels to drive the woofers? Using the amps crossovers to tune the sound?
Right now I have the amp set on high pass at 80. With the speaker's crossovers attached.
I had a set of Infinity speakers in my C5 and my Suburban. Both had problems when the heat got too high inside the vehicle. The cones warped and pulled away from the surround.
