c5 amp ground?
"Where is the best place to ground my amplifier?
You can ground your amp to a screw/bolt that holds the rear middle compartment to the frame."
my question is, exactly where is this bolt? i don't want to pull too much of my car apart without knowing where i'm going.

There is no such bolt in my car.
I grounded to the factory ground point. Its behind the panel that the seatbelt goes into, sort of level with your elbow if you are sitting in the seat.

I used the GM ground that can be found on the frame.
These pictures are on the passenger side of the frame, right there inside the wheel well area:
You can see the ground lug beside the A-arm, above the muffler:
I ran the ground into the passenger side rear compartment, as you can see in this photo:
Hope this helps.

I just drilled a hole in the indent on the left side of the center compartment which hits right into the frame and then drove a big self tapping screw into it. I put the amp on the back wall.

I just ran mine to the right rear seat mount bolt. My amps sit right behind the bulkhead behind the seats in the vert.

I agree. Ground to seat bolt. Just make sure you have good electrical connection.
