looking for some brainstorming help here. if you had to hide a laptop dvd-rom drive into the vette where would you put it? here are the rules though:
1) has to be easily accessible (i dont want to be leaning over to replace a cd and get in a crash)
2) has to be clean and solidly mounted
Well you could do something in the center console, or perhaps cut it into the part between your seats. You would have to turn around a bit, but it would be better than leaning over and steering into a ditch!!!!!!!!
Here is just a quick idea that I really dont know if it will work.. I would have to go look at my console and do some measuring because I dont know if it would fit between the mounting bolts, but you might be able to mount in inside the center console at the back (opening toward the front of the car).
You would have to keep the center console pretty empty though to open the tray.. plus you would have to open the center console in order to change discs.
BTW.. what are you doing trying to watch a DVD while driving?

that is a good idea, i was thinking about doing it the other way but upon inspection last night it wouldn't fit. but the other way just may work out and be totally hidden. hmm... oh, and i wont watch dvds, it'll be mainly for cd's and dvd software or mp3 cd's. it's not a dvd player, rather a dvd rom
